MD, study of medicine in Berlin (Freie Universität) and at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (Great Britain). Medical Specialist in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Psychoanalyst (education in Berlin). 1979-1984 working as psychotherapist in the Institute of Psychogenic Diseases, Berlin (‘Institut für Psychogene Erkrankungen’), 1984-1987 in a private practice, 1987-2013 as head physician of the Department of Psychoanalytic Medicine (Klinik Wittgenstein, Bad Berleburg) and furthermore in a private practice in Siegen. Member of the German Psychoanalytic Association (DPG) and training psychoanalyst in the Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (DPG) Siegen-Wittgenstein (Chair of the Curriculum committee 1990-2013). Teacher in ´German Chinese Training Course on Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Shanghai Mental Health Center´ since 2014. Publications in the fields of psychotherapy for elderly patients, stationary psychotherapy, dream analysis.

Margarete Haass-Wiesegart, MA, honorary president of the DCAP, approved practice, psychologist, Behavior Therapist and Systemic Therapist is co-founder of the DCAP.

For her long year contribution to the introduction and development of psychotherapy in China, she received the following awards: from the Chinese mental Health Association with Jiao Tong University 2009, the leading committee of the Register System of the Chinese Society for Clinical Psychology and Counseling 2017, the Silver Magnolia of the City of Shanghai 2020 and the Cross of the Order of   Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany 2012.

Some of her special science interests are: The impact of culture and social economic factors on the processes of the transfer of psychotherapy in changing societies, the impact of transgenerational traumata and memories to the recent generation and individuals.

As treasurer of the DCAP she is member of the Board
